Museum and Kids

The museum’s first e Learning course, run in cooperation with the University of Athens, is addressed to teachers, museum professionals, parents, and anyone interested in modern museum practices.

Focusing on the multifaceted learning process achieved in and through a museum, it will examine the tools and methods used by museums around the world to help children and teenagers profit from the museum experience. To this end, the course will be spread out in 8 units, each of which will examine a different aspect of the museum learning context.

Different means will be used to engage the users’ senses, including audiovisual material, written text based on academic research and short and easy-to-use manuals. Though this course, the Museum of Cycladic Art will be responding to a global need for increased knowledge and skill-based training, inviting potential users to benefit for its yearly experience.
