>> Ioulia Lourentzatou was born in Piraeus. She graduated from the Department of History and Archeology of the University of Crete and continued her postgraduate studies in Classical Archeology at the University of Edinburgh, England. For many years she has participated in excavations in Eleftherna (Rethymnon Crete, Western Sector), Gavdos and Despotiko (Paros). Since 2011 she participates in the systematic excavation at Agios Nikolaos Palon in Vouliagmeni, Attica.

In 2008-2010 she worked as an archaeologist at the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Since 2011, she works at the Museum of Cycladic Art as Registrar of Antiquities and secretary of the Director, Professor N. Chr. Stampolidis, participating at the same time in the organization and realization of temporary archaeological exhibitions and their accompanying catalogues.
