Annual New Year's event & talk "The birth of the coin and its importance to the ancient world"

On Tuesday, February 28, we welcomed the Cycladic Friends to annual new year's event. The event started with a speech by Dr. Panagiotis Iosif, Curator of Classical Antiquities of the Museum of Cycladic Art entitled "The birth of the coin and its importance for the Greek world".

Cycladic Friends attended a private tour of the temporary exhibition "Yiannis Gaitis. The essence of anonymity" conducted by the curator of the exhibition Takis Mavrotas.

"Walking in the footsteps of Alki Zei"

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of her birth and the "Literary Year of Alkis Zeis", Cycladic Friends participated in a special walk in the center of Athens, which will take place on Saturday, March 18.

"Athens during Hadrian times"

On Sunday, April 9, the Cycladic Friends participated in a walk in the historical center dedicated to Athens during the Roman era.

The Museum of Cycladic Art has secured exclusively for Cycladic Friends tickets to the opera Medea by Luigi Cherubini on Sunday 30 April.
